Ways we fund the Old Dam Community Band.
The Old Dam Community Band is a non-profit organization with full 501-3c designation (makes it tax deductable). Although we do not typically spend a lot of money during the year, our annual expenditures average about $5000.
We gain revenue through a number of ways, including:
- Donations from band members
- Grant requests
- Donations from the public at concerts
- Donations from groups who invite us to play at their event
- Special revenue-generating programs like the two outlined below.
Schnucks Customer Card. Earn from 1-3% of your purchases at Schnucks by showing your group card when you check out.. Up to 5 cards are available per member. Give them to your friends and family to use. Their purchases combine with yours. The higher your monthly total, the larger % is given to the band. Once again, there is no cost to you. GoodSearch and GoodShop programs. Enter these two programs via the logo at the bottom of this site's home page. Once registered, when you search or shop on-line using their tools, a small donation is set aside for our band. It costs you nothing, but may eventually help our band out a lot.
