Saturday, September 11th
Noon — O’Capella
Contemporary A Capella is a
genre. (This is not your dad's
barbershop quartet!)... 7 Members
Repertoire consists of pop, jazz, doo-wop, rock, and oldies. We use a vocal percussionist to make all the drum sounds with a mic and ours is a
riot because he is so good. O’Capella
has been together for 5 years and is based in Owensboro, KY. This is the ONLY group like this in the
Tri-State. For additional information

1pm — The Rhein Valley Brass
The RVB originally organized by
Dr Fredrich Kiechle as Die Oberbayerische Blasskapelle, is the house band of
Germania Männerchor, an Evansville, Indiana German singing society. Now as the
Rhein Valley Brass the group performs locally at numerous public functions as
well as traveling with the Männerchor singers to Nord Americanische Sängerbund
clubs in Indianapolis, Louisville, Cleveland, Columbus, & Chicago. They
have entertained at the Haubstadt, Indiana Sommerfest for over 20 years as well
as Germania Männerchor’s own Annual Volksfest. The RVB also have been a
featured attraction at the Gersthaus in Evansville & Nashville,

2pm — Students of Opus One Music
3pm — The Little Old Dam Band
A small group of 10 or so
musicians from the much larger Old Dam Community Band that specializes in
nostalgic music in the Dixieland style.
The LODB is available to perform in venues that are not large enough for
the 40 piece Old Dam Community Band.

4pm – The Owensboro Community Band
The
Owensboro Community Band was formed mid 2003 by Hugh Wittaker, baritone player
with The Old Dam Community Band. The

Noon — The Mount Vernon High School Jazz Ensemble
This will be the first
performance of the year for this group.
The students are from grades 9 thru 12.

3pm – Thr Revolution Dance and Stomp Ensemble
This exciting percussion/dance
team involves about 25 young people doing a high-energy rhythm routine
utilizing barrels, buckets, garbage cans, pipes, hubcups, etc.. We are one of the Outreach Ministries of The
New Covenant Christian Center in Providence Ky. This Team has only been
together for about one year and has performed at churches, festivals, and
ballgames in several states. These
young people are also a very exciting Dance team----if you would like them perform at your next event, please contact

4pm — The Bend In The River Brass Band
The Bend in the River Brass Bad
was established in 1991 by Beth Hronek as a community outreach/continuing
education offering of the Henderson Community College. The band is currently
directed by Danny Humphreys, Director of Bands at Owensboro Middle School. The
BRBB follows the tradition of British brass bands. Members are post-high school
brass players from across the Tri-state and range in age from the teens to the
eighties. The BRBB is a member of the North American Brass Band

band… founded in February of 2000 to
give local musicians an opportunity to play music with others in a relaxed
atmosphere. The Band rehearses every
Tuesday evening at 7pm at the Old Lock & Dam Building just east of Downtown
